A word from jacob

“Thank you for your interest in New York Mobile Acupuncture! I am extremely grateful to get the opportunity to do what I love each day, which is work with others as they navigate the process of healing. It is a true honor to stand with and learn from my patients. Starting at a very young age it became apparent that I had an affinity for connecting with others. As a child I was infinitely curious about people’s stories - who they were; where they had been; what they had been through. As I grew older my ability to connect, empathize and see what was happening with a person developed. Sensitivities that I now consider a gift were at times difficult to navigate but thanks to the supportive environment I was raised in, I was able to stay open and grow.

I found acupuncture in a time in my life when I was very deep in the valley of Lyme Disease as a late teen. I was worried I would not survive. Thankfully, I landed in the lifesaving care of an acupuncturist and was able to recover. I emerged from this experience with a deep sense of purpose. This extraordinarily difficult chapter in my life afforded me a firsthand perspective of what it’s like to face the physical challenges of a chronic and unrelenting disease, as well as the stress of being confronted with one’s own mortality. This information has been clinically invaluable over the years in my efforts to reach patients who are in a profound place of sickness, often misunderstood and extremely frustrated.

It also provided me firsthand knowledge of what it takes to fully heal from something serious. This process is often much slower and more demanding than we initially hope for, requiring a level of acceptance we often don’t realize we have within us, and ultimately has the potential to leave us transformed. Difficulties of the body, mind and spirit can be absolutely huge catalysts of growth and personal evolution.

Receiving the proper care and support along the way is an essential part of this process of: imbalance, then disease, then healing and finally transformation. There are many different tools and medical approaches to healing injury and disease and no matter what approach a practitioner takes in their efforts to assist their patients, it all comes down to results. The results MUST speak for themselves. I am certain that modalities like acupuncture, herbal medicine, TCM lifestyle guidance and bio-resonance prove themselves time and time again, and it is my deep honor and passion to share this medicine with others”.

Family and fun

Jacob and his wife have a daughter, whom was born in the comfort of their home in Idaho on a Fall morning in 2022. They named her Nova. A nova is a giant star; an extraordinary source of light that burns with intensity. May we all access the full potential of our inner light, the super nova that resides within each of us.

When not in the clinic or studying Chinese and integrative medicine, Jacob can be found either spending time with his family, training jiu-jitsu or enjoying time out in nature.
